County Launches Emergency Preparedness Week Activities

Pinehurst County Emergency Management is hosting a series of events during National Emergency Preparedness Week to help residents prepare for natural disasters and emergencies.

Events Schedule

• Monday: Community emergency kit building workshop at the Civic Center
• Wednesday: Shelter-in-place drill at county schools
• Thursday: First aid and CPR certification classes (free for residents)
• Saturday: Countywide emergency communication system test

Residents are encouraged to sign up for the county's emergency alert system at alert.pinehurstcounty.gov to receive real-time notifications during severe weather and other emergencies.
