Riverside Park Renovation Project Breaks Ground

Construction has officially begun on the $3.2 million renovation of Riverside Park, the county's most visited recreational facility. The project will modernize facilities and add new amenities for families.

Improvements Include

• New inclusive playground accessible to children of all abilities
• Renovated picnic shelters with electric hookups
• Expanded walking and cycling trails (2 additional miles)
• Updated restroom facilities
• New kayak and canoe launch on the river

The park will remain partially open during construction, with sections closed in phases to minimize disruption. Full completion is expected by October 2026.
